Biography

I am a PhD candidate at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) since 2024. My main research interests include the coloniality of gender and sexuality, feminist (knowledge) politics, epistemological and social justice, and the afterlives and entanglements of empire.

Over the past years, I have been involved in spaces of collective praxis, learning, and teaching that engage with decolonial and anticolonial feminist horizons of possibility. These have given rise to my current work titled ‘Revisiting Feminist Entanglements: An anticolonial archival study of feminist knowledge politics in Berlin (1980s-present)’. Situated in Berlin, Germany, the study critically interrogates how white/western feminist politics of knowledge in the realms of power have reproduced the violent (b)orders of coloniality. It seeks to contribute to reorientations toward more expansive political horizons rooted in an awareness of colonial entanglements.

I am part of the teaching teams for the graduate courses “Decoloniality in the Development Research Context” and “Transitions for Social Justice Lab” at ISS.
