Biography
Maria Schiller is Associate Professor of Public policy, Migration and Diversity at the ÃÀÅ®¸£ÀûµçÓ°ÔºÎçÒ¹ and Managing Director of the LDE Centre Governance of Migration and Diversity. She further serves as theme lead for the Erasmus Initiativive "Vital cities and citizens" and is ESSB's current DEI officer. Her work is motivated by the desire to understand and capture public policymaking on migration and diversity, with a focus on Europe, often comparing across countries and cities. In her two monographs she examined institutional policies and practices on diversity as well as cooperation, power and conflict between state and civil society actors. Her recent work analyzes shifting discourses and policies on internationalization in higher education in a context of polarization and politicization of migration and their institutional and organization effects.
