dr. WAH (Wouter) Spekkink

Biography

**Wouter Spekkink is an Assistant Professor within the Department of Public Administration and Sociology since September 1st, 2019.** Wouter's research focuses primarily on complex governance processes around sustainability issues. He wrote his PhD thesis on the emergence of public-private collaborations for the development of sustainable industrial clusters. Recent studies have focused on grassroots activities related to circular economy and sustainability more broadly, as well as interactive governance processes around climate policy. Wouter's work has also covered graph-theoretical methodologies for the investigation of complex social processes. He has recently developed a decicated software suite that facilitates in the application of this approach.    Wouter teaches various courses on topics related to governance. He also coordinates the Dutch master specialization on Governance and Management of Complex Systems.
